Oak Ridge, The New Sring Break

Every year Skidmore's crew team travels down south for spring break. They don't go as far south as Florida, as many Spring Breakers do; instead they make Tennessee their home for the week. The men and women's teams travel to Oak Ridge, Tennessee for a week of training.

This year the teams stayed at a hotel with close quarters to allow for an optimal team bonding experience. Each day the team had three practices. The first began early in the morning, and although the training aspect of the trip is grueling, the overall consensus from the coach and the captains is that the trip was a success.

Destination Spring Break: Oak Ridge

The pilgrimage to Melton Hill Lake in Oak Ridge, Tennessee made sense for crews across the country this year. As the northern-most of the southern-ish training locales, many teams rolled into town a few hours earlier than expected, followed the plentiful signs to the venue, and still had time for the Waffle House after unloading the trailer.
